General Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Engineering serves as the nervous system and musculature of modern industrial plants.
Just as the human body relies on nerves to sense conditions and muscles to act, an industrial facility depends on E&I systems to monitor and control its entire operation. The instrumentation side acts as the senses—measuring pressure, temperature, flow, and level—while the electrical side provides the power and force to drive motors, valves, and equipment. Together, they enable operators to "feel" what is happening in the process and "move" it toward the desired output safely and efficiently. Without a well-designed E&I system, even the most advanced plant would be blind, paralyzed, and unable to function.
